• To promote safe participation on/in water activities through education in all aspects of water safety personal survival, lifesaving and resuscitation.
• To raise public awareness of the society and its work and to encourage participation in its formal education programmes.
• To encourage participation in a wide range of water activities which will be of benefit in the performance of lifesaving skills.
• To promote educational classes, competitions and lifeguarding activity to help further the work of the Society.

These programs are delivered by a professional group of employees and Accreditated RLSSQ Trainers. They provide customer focused programs that foster training and skills that save lives and prevent accidents.

Training is the cornerstone of our vision for a safe community. Every year we train pool lifeguards, pool managers, teachers, swim teachers and first aiders in workplaces across Australia, many of them young and just starting a career.
